🌸 Words That Heal

🌸 Words That Heal

Words carry weight.

Sometimes a quick comment, a criticism, or a judgment can land harder than we realize because we don't always see what someone else is carrying. We may not know what happened before they walked into the room. We may not know what they are struggling with, what they are praying about, or what they are silently trying to overcome.

🤍 A Little of My Story

I remember a time when someone's words hurt me deeply. I was young, and the criticism and judgment left me feeling small and unworthy. What made it even harder was that no one knew what I was already dealing with inside. Only God and I knew what I was carrying.

Those words stayed with me for a long time. I cried, I questioned myself, and there were moments when I didn't feel beautiful or worthy at all.

But during that difficult season, God met me gently. He reminded me that His words define me—not the hurtful words of others. He reminded me that I was still loved, still seen, and still His.

That experience taught me something I carry with me today: we have to be careful with our words.

Because we never know the weight someone else is carrying.

Our words can encourage someone, bring hope, and remind them that they are loved. But careless words can also leave wounds that we may never see.

So before we criticize, judge, or speak out of frustration, maybe we should pause.

Listen first.
Think first.
Pray first.
Then speak with grace.

🌿 Choosing Grace With Our Words

We aren't going to get it right every time. We are human, and sometimes we speak before we think.

But when we do, we can humble ourselves, ask God for forgiveness, apologize when necessary, and choose to do better.

Let's be people whose words bring life instead of people who are quick to tear others down.

We don't have to agree with everyone. We don't have to understand every situation. But we can still choose kindness.

You never know what someone is going through.

A little kindness might mean more than you realize.

đź“– A Reminder From Scripture

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18

If someone's words have hurt you, remember that God sees the wounds that other people may never know about.

And if you've been the person whose words have hurt someone else, there is grace for that too. We can learn, grow, apologize, and choose differently.

🙏 A Simple Prayer

Lord,

Guard my words today.

Help me think before I speak and listen before I judge. Give me compassion for the people around me, because I don't always know what they may be carrying.

Help my words bring encouragement instead of discouragement, kindness instead of criticism, and healing instead of hurt.

Remind me that my words have power. Teach me to use that power wisely and let my words reflect Your heart.

And when I make mistakes, give me the humility to recognize them, ask for forgiveness, and walk forward in Your grace.

Amen. 🤍
