When Love Is Stronger Than Fear

There have been moments in my life when fear became so loud that I couldn't see past it.

Fear. Negative thoughts. Anxiety. Depression. The things I was carrying became so overwhelming that they started to take over my thoughts and my days. And in those moments, I didn't always recognize what was right in front of me.

Love.

God's love was there all along.

I just couldn't see it through the fear.

When I look back now, I realize how many reminders God had placed around me. I had people who loved me. My family was there. My children were there. I had friends who cared about me, and people from my church family who continued to love and encourage me.

There was love in my home.
There was love in my friendships.
There was love in my family.
There was love all around me.

And most importantly, there was God.

Sometimes fear can make us feel completely alone, even when we aren't.

But God's love doesn't disappear when we're struggling. It doesn't disappear because of our past, our mistakes, our weaknesses, or the things we've been through.

His love remains.

And when I think about the cross, I am reminded of just how powerful that love is. Jesus gave His life for us because of His love for us.

That is the kind of love that fear cannot defeat.

🤍 When Fear Gets Loud

Maybe you're in a difficult season right now.

Maybe fear has been speaking louder than hope.

Maybe you're struggling with thoughts that make you feel alone, overwhelmed, or forgotten.

If that's you, I want to remind you of something I had to remind myself:

Look for the love.

Look around you.

Look at the people who continue to show up for you.
Look at the little moments of kindness.
Look at the prayers someone prayed for you.
Look at the people who remind you that you matter.

And most importantly, look toward God.

Because even when we don't recognize His presence, He is still there.

I've learned that sometimes the thing we need isn't something new.

Sometimes we simply need to recognize what has been there all along.

God's love.

It was there in the middle of my hardest moments.
It was there when I felt afraid.
It was there when I couldn't see clearly.
And it was there when I finally began to realize that I was never alone.

So if you're struggling today, please don't let fear convince you that you're forgotten.

You are loved.
You are seen.
You are not alone.

Fear may be loud, but God's love is stronger.

And sometimes, when we finally quiet the fear enough to see it, we realize that love was surrounding us the whole time.

God is love. And His love is still there. 🤍
