Write It Down, Wait in Hope

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about patience.

Patience can be hard when you’re waiting and you don’t know how long it will take. Sometimes it feels easier to rush, try to fix things, or make something happen on our own.

But this week, I’ve been holding on to Habakkuk 2:2–3:

“Write the vision and make it plain… For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it linger, wait for it.”

That verse reminds me that waiting doesn’t mean the vision isn’t real. It just means it’s not here yet.

And that has been true for me.

God has placed a dream in my heart for Hey Hey Girl—a Christian coffee shop where youth can come, moms can gather, people can fellowship, worship, enjoy Christian poetry and music, and simply have a place to breathe a little easier. ☕🤍

I wrote that vision down in my journal.

And somehow, writing it down made it feel real—like something worth praying for and worth waiting for.

🌿 Waiting Doesn't Mean Forgetting

Sometimes when we wait, we can start wondering if we should give up.

Maybe the dream is taking too long.
Maybe nothing seems to be happening.
Maybe we start wondering if we heard God correctly.

But waiting doesn't mean forgetting.

Waiting with hope means continuing to trust God even when we can't see what He's doing yet.

It means praying while we wait.
Preparing while we wait.
Growing while we wait.
And learning patience while we wait.

God isn't in a rush, and you're not behind.

🤍 Let Patience Be Part of the Story

Maybe that's the Weekly Grace for today:

Write the vision.
Pray over it.
Wait in hope.
And let patience be part of the story.

Whatever you're waiting for right now, don't let the waiting convince you that nothing is happening.

God sees the vision.

And He sees you.

While you wait, you can still choose kindness. You can still speak words that heal. You can still love others. You can still grow. You can still dream.

And you can trust that God's timing is worth trusting.

🙏 This Week's Prayer

Lord,

Teach me patience when I don't understand the timing.

Help me trust You when I'm waiting for something I've been praying about. When I feel discouraged or tempted to rush ahead, remind me that I don't have to make everything happen on my own.

Help me write down the vision You have placed in my heart, pray over it, and trust You with the timing.

Give me patience to wait, faith to keep believing, and peace while I don't yet see the answer.

And while I wait, help me continue to love, encourage others, and use my words to bring healing.

Help me wait with hope.

Amen. 🤍
