🌿 Write the Vision: Waiting for What God Has Placed in My Heart

🌿 Write the Vision: Waiting for What God Has Placed in My Heart

🌿 A Vision Worth Writing Down

I still remember how words once cut deep.

Back then, harsh comments made me feel like I wasn’t enough. But in that quiet, painful season, God gently reminded me that His voice about me is steady and kind. And that’s when I started paying closer attention to my own words.

That’s one of the reasons Habakkuk 2:2–3 means so much to me:

“Write the vision and make it plain… For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Those words speak to my heart because I’ve always loved writing. I love journaling my dreams, my goals, my missions, my prayers, and the things I feel God placing on my heart.

One of those dreams is Hey Hey Girl, a Christian coffee shop I’ve carried in my heart for a long time.

I imagine it being a place where youth can come, have a coffee, fellowship, and feel welcomed and safe. A place where moms can gather, where there could be Christian poetry, live worship music, conversations, encouragement, and simply a place to breathe a little easier.

It’s more than just a coffee shop to me.

It’s a vision for creating a place where people can feel seen, encouraged, and connected.

So I wrote it down.

I wrote down the ideas.
I wrote down the dreams.
I wrote down the mission.
And most importantly, I prayed over it.

Writing it down felt like holding on to something holy.

And then came the waiting.

Maybe you’re carrying a dream too. Maybe God has placed something in your heart that you don’t know how or when will happen.

That’s where I’ve had to learn to trust Him.

Even when the waiting feels slow, I don’t want to give up on the vision.

I want to keep praying.
Keep writing.
Keep preparing.
Keep believing.
And keep trusting God’s timing.

Because sometimes the vision doesn’t happen immediately. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t from God. Sometimes we’re simply being asked to wait for it.

And while I wait, I want to continue speaking words that heal, not hurt.

Because I’ve lived both.

I’ve experienced words that wounded me, and I’ve experienced words that encouraged me and helped me keep going.

That’s why I believe our words matter.

And that’s also why I believe a journal can be such a beautiful tool. You can write down your dreams, your prayers, your goals, your visions, the things you’re believing God for, and even the things you don’t know how to say out loud.

Sometimes you need somewhere to put the vision while you’re waiting for it.

Write it down. Pray over it. Keep believing. And wait for it. 🌸

Maybe one day I’ll look back at those journal pages and see how God brought every little piece together.

Until then, I’m trusting Him with the vision.

Let this dream, and even this blog, be a small seed of that vision.

🙏 A Simple Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for the dreams and visions You place in our hearts.

Help us write them down, pray over them, and trust You with the timing. When the waiting feels long, give us patience. When we feel discouraged, remind us why we started.

Help us prepare without rushing You, believe without forcing things, and wait without giving up.

And while we’re waiting, help us use our words to encourage, love, and bring healing to others.

Give us faith to write the vision, courage to keep believing, and patience to wait for it.

Amen. 🤍
